Is Easy to Setup
you don't need a degree in home networking to setup HomeCamera. Simply download the free Windows1 webcam security software, enter your HomeCamera user ID and password, enter a name for your webcam (such as "home" or "livingroom"), and hit Connect. You're done!
Is Easy to Access
login to your HomeCamera account from any browser on any PC (or even a PDA or mobile phone!) and click on View to access your webcam, as many times as you like, all day, every day, from anywhere in the world.
Can Be Accessed from Mobile Phones Worldwide
We use a technology called "WAP" to deliver pictures (and "WAP Push" to deliver videos) to mobile phone users around the world. This means, so long as you have a video player on your phone, it's likely you can access HomeCamera through it - and if you don't have a video player, you could still access pictures. It also means you do not need to subscribe to 3G / wireless-broadband / evdo / whatchamacallit fancy-schmancy high-speed-mobile-service to use HomeCamera.
Is Full-featured
all the advanced Internet home surveillance features you'll need are included, and more features are being added all the time. HomeCamera supports motion detection (pictures and videos can be sent to your email or your mobile phone), webcam sharing (so you can share access to your cameras with family members), time lapse recording (you can setup HomeCamera to automatically record pictures and videos from your webcams onto our server, and access your recordings at any time), and more!
Works with all Webcams
you don't need to buy an expensive new camera - HomeCamera probably works with the webcam you already own (it even works with CCTV cameras and specific network / wifi / Internet cameras).
Is Free
During our public beta, HomeCamera is completely free. No hidden charges - we don't ask you for your credit card or attempt to bill you in other
ways. And, when we do go "commercial", we promise we'll be very very
affordable and all our early beta trialists will receive special prices as
our way of saying "Thank you for helping build the world's easiest to use
Internet home surveillance camera system".
